Random Update

It is official. I hate alarms.

Hmm, where should I start? To begin with, let me tell you that I do not have the deepest of sleep (at least, not any more). However, during the wee hours of the morning, I absolutely hate getting out of my cosy bed, especially on cold winter dawns. I have tried normal alarms - the watch ones, the cellphone ones, the quartz ones - but none of them seem to have the power to wake me up from my slumber. Finally, I got hold of the deadliest alarm - the manual table clock. Emanating a sound, which am sure can be heard from 10 miles apart, this table clock actually has the capacity of waking up Ravana's brother Kumbhakarna from his siesta. And I swear, I am much better than that - hence, it definitely works for me.

Anyways, back to the story. Today I was having a nice dream where I had won a competition and the prize was that for an entire day I could have anything in a sweet shop and I would not have to pay for it. I had just entered the shop, gloating in ecstacy, with a brilliant and juicy platter in front of me. I was just about to start munching on them, when at that exact moment, this godforsaken alarm of the table clock started hooting. I watched with helplessness as the sweetshop disappeared and went into oblivion :( and I had a real rude awakening. I know, it sounds ironic, but this table clock absolutely has no sense of timing. Five more minutes, and I could have at least eaten 10 of the juicy rasgullas. Sigh. I hate alarms.

Allergy is probably the worst form of disease after AIDS. The problem with it is, it is apparently innocuous, yet it has the colossal power to screw up everything. You can never predict how it will manifest and it never follows a set pattern. For example, I had crab by mistake, yesterday. I know that I am super allergic to crab, but I was busy talking and just tasted the gravy by mistake. Since then, I have been expecting breathing problem. Instead, this time the manifestation came out in a totally different way. I got rashes, a relapse of a pain in the knee and most importantly a certain disorientation, which I realised while I was driving to office. I guess, it was sheer luck that I did not meet with an accident. Just hoping to go back home and get over with the phase. Ciao.
